I have a pleated blind on the window and a balloon valance above. The window is over the sink.

I don't have one but I love the look of a valance with a cafe curtain-especially in a checkered pattern!

this waverly valance in cabernet and woven roller shades that look like bamboo
over my sink and a window and on each side of the french door..also have just the shades on each french door Image Attachment(s):

Faux wood white blinds. It looks nice since the cabinets are white. My SIL has a cherry color and it matches her cabinets and it also looks nice.

We just have a valance because I like to look out the window into the backyard. We also have a sliding glass door from the kitchen with the same valance on it.
