What Month Are You Aiming To Give Birth?
Ok, so Dh and I are just talking today about the best season to give birth so we can plan TTC.
Do you guys think about that and if so when do you guys hope to give birth? And why?

I don't think its bad to plan when you'd prefer to have a baby, but perhaps not always realistic. I say try to plan, and if it works out hooray!

I am there with you. I didnt realize how much out of our control it really is considering the high rate of unplanned pregnancies
My ideal would be summer but I am just so happy that we want another that I could deliver any season.

I feel the same way...I started hoping for a certain season but here I am 8 months later...in my perfect world:
I would get off the pill in April...takes 3 months to get out of my system...get pregnant in July/August and have a baby in April/May right before the summer hits......
Now....God please bless me with a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Well I wanted to have a baby in the summer, but now it is looking like if I get it right soon it will be in the fall. I really don't think it can be planned. I am a teacher, and just thought the summer would be ideal.

i always thought that it would be great to have a baby in the spring.. but now as we are actually ttc and have watched what some people we know with infertiloty problems and problems and pregnancies... and now i dont think about when --- but rather pray for a healthy pregnancy and healthy child!

After 12 months of TTC, I just want to get pregnant. I don't care.
Knowing my IF struggles, a friend of mine who works in a school had the nerve to complain to me that she wishes she were due two weeks earlier. Are you kidding me? It took everything I had to not get violent.
Perfect world: I would like to give birth in the Spring.

Yes it is difficult to plan those sorts of things, but as far as I know many women are able to conceive within a few months of trying.
So it is somewhat possible to aim for a certain season or at least aim to avoid certain seasons.
That's why I wanted to know if anybody has a preference and why. I would love to have a baby in the spring if possible 'cus of job reasons.
Of course I would be happy to have a baby anytime...

Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring....I will take anything!!!!!!!!!!!! 
However, I always thought it would be nice to be on maternity leave in the summer or during the holidays in the winter.

I actually have had the opposite experience. Most of the ladies I have met wanted to get pregnant ASAP and it took longer than they anticipated. I never understand why!

My "plan" is to get pg over the summer-- deal with any sickness in the first tri-mester then, give birth in the spring and be on maternity late spring/early summer.. maybe go back labor day.
Summer is slow for my job-- and I have half day Fridays in the summer-- so if I am not feeling well, I can see a 4 1/2 day work week a bit more paletable.

In an ideal world, I would love to get pregnant in July or August and give birth in April or May. But, I know how unpredictable it can be, so I would be happy with a healthy pregnancy and birth at anytime.

i would not want to give birth in sept or oct, don't want to be in the final stages in the summer. ideally, i'd want to give brith in may, but i'd take anything now.

our original *plan* (assuming it actually worked out that way) was to get PG this coming fall and hopefully have a baby next summer, this way it would be born a couple of months after graduation, but before i started working in my new position. So, i voted for summer.
but, now we might put off TTC for another year, so in that case, i really don't care when its born because we have no other restrictions or obligations that would hold us back.

my feelings exactly. :D my friends and relatives who had babies in early fall and late summer find it diificult because not only is it sweltering hot during the third trimester but they get a double dose of heat from third trimester sweat attacks... :(

I agree.
We havent even "officially" started TTC, right now were just not being careful, but i am scared about how long it might take, so I wouldnt even consider choosing a particular month. DH thinks it will be easy to get preg. I, on the other hand, read these boards and see the reality.
