Im sorry, i hate when people do that, my family doesnt like my daughters middle name and i know how you feel, they keep telling me its an old lady name... My husband named her and fell in love with it, we decided as long as we love it who cares what others think.

I can sympathize..before I found out what we wrre having ran some names by family and some friends and EVERYONE had an opnion, some not very nice. Now that I have found out I'm having a boy...no one is finding out the name until after he is born, this way, they can make their comments without me knowing and get over it as they will ove the child and it will grow on them.

I don't know why people feel the need to do that. If you don't like the name, then don't name YOUR kid that. I actually said that to a girl I work with.
