what paint finish would you use for a bathroom ceiling?
The bathroom is all tile....the only thing to paint is the ceiling. What type of paint finish do you use?

I would just use regular ceiling paint...can't remember if there is a finish...maybe semi gloss or flat.

regardless of room, i always use flat on ceilings.

It doesnt matter if its flat or gloss, just make sure it's moisture resistant paint.

i prefer flat paint on the ceiling - and i believe most ceiling paint comes as a flat finish.
The previous owners of our house had some walls and ceilings painted in a gloss paint and it was really odd looking IMO.

You should buy paint that is made for the Kitchen&Bath. It's moisture resistant. Otherwise with all the steam build up in your bathroom, you could ruin your ceiling or walls. The moisture gets trapped in the walls and they might bubble over time. HTH!

Well the guy at BM talked me into a pearl finish....he said you don't use flat in a bathroom........so I painted the ceiling and still kind of wish I went with the flat....i'm not really liking the shine.

regardless of room, i always use flat on ceilings.
We had flat on our bathroom celings and it peeled from the moisture. Unless you bathroom has a very good fan and ventilation, I would use semi gloss.

In my experience, you did the right thing for sure. Flat isn't meant for moisture.
