Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
Principle Interest Taxes Insurance (PITI) 17% of Gross Monthly Income
Which makes PITI 28 % of our monthly take home (cash after cutting Social security, taxes, health insurance, 401ks, etc...)

Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
Our rent is about 35% of our combined take-home.
The mortgage for the homes we are looking at are less than 25% of our take-home.

Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
As of May its 31% of Dh's net. He qualified for a modification. Before it was much more.
ETA: This includes mortgage, insurance and taxes.

Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
27% of net, but we pay a great deal into our retirement before net. Without that, more like 20%

Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
It's about 75% of MY net. We use only my salary to pay the mortgage. 100% of DH's salary goes to other bills (LIPA, cable, furniture, car insurance, etc.)
So all in all it's about 25% of our combined NET each month.

about 60% of our net income is our mortgage.

Re: What percentage of your household income is your monthly mortage payment?
24% of our gross, which doesn't include my consulting and business income.
I am not going to figure out what the net is because we bank a ton of money into our 401ks. So the net number would obviously be lower if we didn't count our arbitrary retirement savings.
