I also spoke to her about a month or so again regarding being induced. Just from reading all the posts on LIF, it seriously seems to be that 90% of the women on here who get induced end up with a C-section anyway - m

The rate of inductions that result in a c-section is 50% and I'm pretty sure it is the same on here, just look at this thread, a lot of people posted that their inductions resulted in a v-birth (like mine!)Chat Icon

Every dr is different. For me, i had to be induced at 39 weeks with both pregnancies since i had GD.

Re: What qualifies you to be induced?

I was induced with both of my girls. Both were completely for convenience sake. My doctor would only induce in the 39th week and only if I was 2-3cm dilated and at least 50% effaced. Meaning: if my cervix was showing progress.

Most inductions do NOT lead to c/s. Both my inductions led to perfectly normal vaginal births. The complications I had were due to both DDs having their daddy's broad shoulders. Madelyn needed to be vacuum extracted, Eliza fractured her collarbone. Neither were attributed to the induction process.

Re: What qualifies you to be induced?

I was induced 5 days past my due date bacause of low fluid levels. I delivered 6 days past my dd vaginally. This time around I'm actually wanting to schedule an induction the week before my due date for convenince sake because I'll be off that week.
