What store are you getting your crib from?
Are you buying it from a baby store like Babys R Us or a real furniture store?
Are the cribs safer if you buy it from a specialty baby store?

I got mine from behrs b.c that is where I got a crib I loved. I did like a few from BBB - but actually the one I got from Behrs was slightly less expensive than what I was looking at from BBB.
No they aren't necessarily safer. They should all conform to certain standards no matter where you get and what you pay. But I do think there is a difference in quality - but that is another post. Honestly the cribs have so many different aspects you really are best to go and look at a few stores and compare them and see what you like and what you don't like. A lot of it very individual preference. For us we got a convertible which I love b.c I felt it was studier than other cribs we looked at (dd loves to run around and jump in the crib) and it converts to both a toddler bed and then to a full size so it will grow with her.

Ordered from Simply Baby and Kids in CT. They are only in CT- The crib and furniture are Creations- they carry Young America, Munire, and some other companies

Buy Buy Baby...and just to let you know, they accept competitor's coupons, and agreed to take four 20% off Babies R Us coupons on 3 pieces of furniture and a mattress!!!
