DH and i get to register in August but of course we have gone to BRU and BBB a few times to walk around. i really do not like any of the strollers or travel systems - some of the designs are horrible!!! we were thinking about the bugaboo but i am not sure if i like that either

what did everyone pick and/or what do u recommend????

We picked Graco's Family Tree from Target.

I put it together this weekend and played around with it and it really impressed me.

Re: what strollers or travel system is everyone picking

I got the BumbleRide Flyer and the Graco Snap N Go.

ETS: I didn't get the BumbleRide from BRU or BBB. They don't have it at BRU and I think you can only get it from BRU online. I went to a store in Brooklyn to look at it and loved it so much I purchased it on the spot.

i actually think that one is adorable but the woman that worked there was totally trying to talk us out of getting it - i dont know why but i was extremely disappointed. so i have been trying to look for reviews on them and i have not found anything bad at all. she said that a lot of people return them b/c they dont turn well but i may not listen and i am really hoping she is wrong

we may be with the Perego but i am still not sure

hmmm...that's really strange. I haven't heard one bad review. I think that the stearing is a little difficult to get used to. But, the Bugaboo has a similar stearing system, so I am not sure what she would have been talking about. I tried it out and loved it. But, everyone is different. Just because others dont' like it, doesn't mean that you won't like it. Some people love the Graco systems, and I found them so heavy and complicated. I hated the way they handled and when I wheel my friends, I can't control it. So, everyone has a different taste.

Re: what strollers or travel system is everyone picking

We have a Graco travel system and I LOVED being able to move the infant seat in and out ... and I do think they are the best way to go -- but make sure you look at every model before you register.

I just picked one whose patter I liked and there are features on it now, that I'm realizing are more well made on other models that Graco makes.

For example my basket is very small and hard to get to when the seat is reclined.

The hood is very flimsy and there is extra fabric that flops all over.

The snack tray and foot rest snap off way too easily.

The child view window is very small and you can't use it at all if you are using the infant seat and you can barely see the baby without the infant seat...

From what I can tell the Metrolite seems to be a GREAT graco model....the features appear to be much better and my sister has it and it is a breeze to fold up! The Quattro Tour also looks very nice as far as features and wearability.

This is the stinky one that I have:
It is called the Glider Travel System -- they have it available in "Key West" now and my pattern is no longer available, although it looks like they changed the basket so it moves down and is easier to get to.

Re: what strollers or travel system is everyone picking

we opted to not get a travel system b/c I didn't want anything that was v. heavy.

so- we opted for the Graco snap & go system and then a light weight maclaren stroller.

I did not want a travel system when you can just use a snap and go which is much lighter and easier to use then lugging out the whole stroller, IMO.

Re: what strollers or travel system is everyone picking

I have the graco quattro tour travel system. I loved the idea of snapping the infant seat into the stroller. BUT that stroller is soo heavy, I love it's amenities, and its moves soo easily, but I can't lift it in and out of my Murano! I do love the stroller though :(

I bought the snap n go to use with the infant seat, and when she outgrows it, i am def getting a lighter weight umbrella stroller.

The big stroller, is in DH's car, I can only use it when he's around.

that is actually my problem with a lot of them - i'm kinda petite and weak (lol - I'm sure that will change from holding the baby once it comes). so that is making it even harder to pick one - its driving me crazy

I registered for a set by Combi. The stroller and car seat are separates...but you can snap the carseat into the stroller, and make it a "travel system".

We just registered. We passed on the travel system since most reviews we heard said the strollers that came with them were not that great. Here's what we ended-up with:

Graco Safeseat car seat
Graco Snap n go
Peg Pliko stroller

We also thought about the Bumbleride, but my husband tried out his friend's and he thought it was too bulky when folded down, so we went with the Peg instead, but his friend loves her Bumbleride. Strollers are such personal decisions -- it really depends on what fits your life-style.

We got the:
*Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seat (Toffee)
*Peg Perego Venezia MT Stroller (Toffee)

and the

*Bugaboo Chameleon

We were hoping to use the Peg Perego infant car seat on the Bugaboo, but the adapters that Bugaboo currently has available doesn't work with the 2006 infant car seat (they won't have the adapters available until August.)

I have these little adaptors and then my car seat snaps right on to the Bugaboo Frame, it seems a shame that you have to get a snap and go when you have that beautiful Bugaboo frame...can't you get them to use the Bug??? Its a shame you have to use the snap and go, I used my bug with the carseat and it was fantastic...

I know you can use the adapters with the bugaboo frame, but they were almost the same price as the snap and go, so i figured I would just get that.

In the beginning I will prob leave the bugaboo set up with the pram in my garage or house for walks anyway, and just leave the snap and go in the car.
