What style of fridge do you have?
I'm curious since I sometimes see people saying how they don't like or like a certain type of fridge.
I've only had experience with two styles of refrigerators... top freezer and side by side. I grew up with a top freezer, had it in my college apartment and in all other apartments i've lived in.
Now we have the side by side and i'm still (after 5 months) getting used to it. I just don't feel like it fits as much and it's so narrow (plus the ice maker takes up a whole section)!
What do you have... do you love it or hate it?
(sorry the poll only had 6 choices, so if you have an "other" just post it.)

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
right know I have a regular top freezer.
I know a lot of people with side by side and I don't really care for them for the reason you mentioned.
when we get a new fridge, I will splurge on the french door bottom freezer. I need to have it.

If we end up not getting the Jenn Air appliances, we'll get an LG side by side that has the ice maker on the door, not on the top shelf of the freezer so it will free up more shelf space.
I am not a fan of bending every time I need a frozen veggie packet.... and I feel like the bottom freezer will be less organized for me.

That's what I would get if we needed a new fridge. Too bad this was the only appliance the previous owners left... although it is in great condition (and stainless).

I have french door bottom freezer. I love it.
I would rather have a top freezer though - but I couldnt find a french door top freezer fridge.
I had side by side before that and hated it. If you had a large item (like a sheet cake) you couldnt put it in the fridge!

Ours has the ice maker and water on the door... but there is still a whole section taken up by a box where the ice falls once it's made (in order to be ready for when want ice from the door).

this is why it wouldn't bother me. I don't use much frozen food at all, so having the upper frig space is much more beneficial.
it really depends on the type of "cook" you are and what your day to day needs are.
Jes, the seller also left us a stainless jenn air in very good condition. as much as I'd love a new frig now...it's really the least of our worries. the kitchen was redone only 5 years ago.

Ditto to this. I don't mind the bottom freezer but we have an extra fridge in the garage so I try not to overload mine and it stays pretty organized.

Right - inside the freezer - that part is taking up the whole top of the freezer...
Inside the LG, the box - where the ice falls before you dispense it - is on the inside door so that whole top part of the freezer is open and has a shelf there... So you gain that space back.
You can see the top shelf and the ice maker is on the interior door.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
We have this in Stainless Steel. Love it. Spacious fridge; adjustable shelves; separate thermostat/ humidity controls for the produce compartments; huge freezer. Love it. Also has filtered water and ice maker located inside the unti. I don't like the ones on the fronts of the doors.

Maybe the LG is different, but mine looks exactly the same with that thing sticking out of the inside of the door. But no ice is actually in there, that's just a chute where the ice comes through when you request it through the door. We have a bin on one shelf (that takes up a whole shelf basically) that actually has ice in it when it's made. Does that make sense?
From the pic it looks like that one has a white box on one of the top shelves to hold ice too.
I think my fridge is smaller than the on you posted too, that one looks much roomier than mine overall.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
We have a side by side and I love it. I do see what you mean about having a lot less space in the freezer. But for right now, there is only 2 of us and we don't need a lot of space. Maybe when we have kids we might have to change it (but that is not for a while LOL)

Ditto - I hate our side by side. It feels so small and you can't fit platters in there very well. Not good for parties/hosting holidays.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
We have the French Door with bottom freezer. We love it. When we have parties it's so easy to fit platters in there and cakes. I wouldn't have it any other way. I've learned to keep the bottom freezer organized otherwise you can't find anything.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
In our co-op we had the side by side, and I hated it. Nothing fit in the freezer part. We plan on getting the french door bottom freezer when we redo our kitchen.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
I have a side by side, I love the icemaker/water on the door, I dislike how small each interior space is. I have a large freezer in my basement so its mostly the fridge space that bothers me. I struggle to fit everything I buy for a party or holiday in there. I've even resorted to using coolers for extra space before a party.

I have a top freezer. I wouldn't say I love it, but it works fine for me.
I don't like the side by side, I think the freezers are way too small.
I have heard good things about the bottom freezer.

Re: What style of fridge do you have?
right now we have a top freezer & it has worked out well for us...When the fridge does go, we will be getting the "french doors" type with the freezer on the bottom.
My parents have it & it is so neatly organized. We don't need a big freezer in our kitchen as we have a freezer chest in our basement

I cant vote
I have a french door bottom freezer
i dont love and i dont hate it
I love the look of it, the freezer on the bottom is small. And we took the ice maker out because we have a separate unit that makes clear ice.
We just bought a brand new regular freezer for the basement for extra storage.
