What the heck is going on here?
So for SIX MONTHS I am looking for a job. Nada. I went on a few interviews, but the firms interested in me wanted to pay me less for more work. Finally, I got an offer about three weeks ago for a job with the city. Its less money, but less hours and in some ways, better benefits. Well the processing is taking forever, they don't know when I'll start and I still have to have a final interview with the commissioner.
So after I accept the job, I get a letter from the FDIC for an interview. Great. I scheduled it for Monday. I feel a little guilty, like I'm cheating on my new job. But hey, we all have to protect ourselves. What if the budgeting falls through or something.
Then all of a sudden I get an array of calls from headhunters- three this week. And I already set up another interview. So I have TWO interviews next week.
What's happening here? Why all of a sudden. And what will happen if I get one of these jobs that are better than my "new" job. 
ETA: And I got ANOTHER call from headhunters- and set up a third interview for next week.

The same thing happened to me. I have been looking since June. This past month, I have been on a bunch of interviews & received 3 job offers. I accepted one & sart Dec 1st.
Don't feel guilty. You have to find out what they will offer you.

I would look out for number one and do not miss any opportunity. You don't owe them anything except an explanation if you will not be taking the job. Which for me would be thank you so much for the opportunity but I was recruited for a dream job. Best of luck.

Awesome that things are picking up for you!!!! I know, I am in the same boat and haven't gotten anything and then today I get an interview for a job I swear I applied to back in September or something....
But I'll take anything I can get!!!
