What time did you go into Labor?

If it started naturally what time (around) did it happen? It seems a lot of times people go into Labor in the middle of the night. I hope that's the case because DH is in NYC and it takes him 2 hours to get home!!

I went into labor 3:30am and delivered 9:22pm (18hrs later).

My water broke at about 5:45am...thankfully it was right before my DH was leaving to get on a train to go to Manhattan for work.

Had some mild cramps at bedtime by 3:00am they got worse unto the morning, by noon we were on our way to the hospital and DD was born dinner time

My water broke at 11:20am. But I work nights, so I guess you could say it was "nighttime" for me.

My water broke at 8:15 p.m. got my epi at 11 p.m., started to push at 2:45 and she was out at 3:33 a.m.

I started to go into labor with Caiden around 2:30am. I woke up with period like cramps, strong enough to wake me up, but still didn't think much of it, went and had something to eat and they were full blown contractions, 30 seconds apart by 3:30am.

I was induced but when I got to the hospital for my planned induction they told me I was already in labor (this was at 6am) and I was ready to go. I guess it happened sometime in the night/early morining. I didn't know it. They did induce me (gave pitocian to keep me going and to make it quicker) since I was scheduled for it. They had to break my water too. They said that I would have had my DD within 24 hrs from when they induced me if I went naturally.

My contractions started to really pick up at 3am-5am..They werenot consistent after that until about 4pm. I didn't go the the hospital until 9pm..had her at 1:22am.

I started feeling "something" around 7:30pm. It picked up in the middle of the night. I arrived at the hospital at 8AM and my son was born at 1:25pm.

First pregnanncy - my water broke at 3:30am - the same time I woke up every night to go pee while pregnant. Contractions started shortly after. I had him at 5:27pm the next day.

Second pregnancy - I started gettting contractions at about 1:30am. They started getting bad about 2am, got to the hospital at 2:20am. I had her at 2:27am.

DH & I both work in the city so getting home was a concern for me as well. First (natural) labors usually take on average 14 hours. More than likely, he'll have plenty of time to get there.

My labor started at about 10-11am, on May 1st, and got progressively more painful as the day went on. I wound up going into the hospital at 3am, on May 2nd, had DD at 6:03pm on May 2nd

Started around 11pm, but didn't *really* start until midnight, and that's when I started timing. Got to the hospital around 2am.

My water brok at 4:15am, DS was born at 8:56am

I woke up at 6am with cramping and started to time them. I gave birth the next day at 2:43am (20+hrs later).

I started getting contractions around 12-1am. I was REALLY uncomfortable though the whole day before, and it just got worse. It wasn't contractions though, it was because my son had already dropped down and I was 90% effaced by the time I got to the hospital early that morning. So go with your gut if you think something is starting to happen, just give your husband a heads up! Even though I wasn't having contractions, I called my doctor b/c I was in a constant pain b/c of the pressure. And I ended up having my son by 1:20 that afternoon!

I got my first contraction ay 2:30am and delivered exactly 12 hours and 18 minutes later.

I had mild contractions from 6:30pm until 2:30am. Went the the hospital at 3:30am and had her at 9:28am.

I had all 3 of my kids in the early AM hours.

Around 8pm my water broke - luckily I was home not on LIRR - my biggest fear of labor - - (i was three weeks early and not suspecting it and usually get home around 7pm). Luckily DH was not in the city as well....but if he did - I had plenty of time because baby came out at 8am the next day.

My water broke about 2PM and Jesse was born by 11PM.

I was very worried too because my DH works in NYC too and we don't even have any family nearby to take me to the hospital. Luckily my water broke around 9pm and I didn't DS wasn't born until 5:21pm the next day.
eta: Do you have anyone to bring you to the hospital just in case? I'm sure your DH will have enough time to get home before the baby is actually born, but you might want to have a plan for someone else to bring you to the hospital so you don't have to be at home worrying that you'll have the baby in the bathroom!
