I have to be at work at 8:30. I usually get up at 6 and leave the house between 7:15 and 7:30. My commute is 1/2 hour depending on traffic.. but I like to get there early.

Re: What time do you wake up for work and what time do you have to be there?

I get up a little after 6 to be in by 7:50. However, while my office's hours are technically 9:30 - 5:30, lawyers don't necessarily have to follow that. Some people routinely come in sometime between 10 and 11 and work later. I like to leave early whenever possible, so I get in early.

I commute to NYC.

Re: What time do you wake up for work and what time do you have to be there?

It varies day by day what time I go in.

It can be anytime from 7am - 9am that I start work.

I wake up about 2 hours before I have to be at work.

If the day is calm & quiet, I get off after working 8 hours whatever time that may be.

If it is busy I work till the work is done.

My commute is only at the longest about 20 minutes to either of the places (my bosses own 3 buildings & I switch around all the time where I am working)

I have to be at work by 7:20. I usually get up at 5 am. I leave the house at 6 am. It takes me 30-35 minutes to get to work. I like to get there early though because I get so much done in the morning. Besides there is a lot less traffic at that time.

I wake up at 5.40-5.50 and leave the house at 6.55 to get a 7.05 train. My commute is an hour (or longer depending on Sydney's lovely train system Chat Icon ) and I have to be in work by 8- 8.30.

I get up at 5:30. I leave at 6:45. I get to work anywhere between 7:30 and 7:45 but I do not have to be there until 8:30.

Parking stinks in Brooklyn when you teach. Spaces are scarce near schools and my little school competes for parking with an extremely large high school so thats why I get there early.
