what to buy a 13 year old for the holidays?
every year we have a family gift exchange, and i have to buy for our 13 year old niece........i have nooooo idea what to get her. its a $50 limit....any suggestions? help! i know she likes fashion, but at that age i wouldn't even try to buy her clothes......

maybe a few small items, and mostly gift card. like a $40 gift card somewhere, and a few things like lipstick, nail polish, lotions, etc)

I get my 14 and 17 year old SILs gc's. Last year it was to Victoria's Secret (they love the Pink stuff) and this year I am doing abercrombie.
I do like to give a gift, but this is what they like.

Honestly? I think these are a waste of money because SO many people get these at this age!!
I remember getting SO many of them when I was a teenager and when my parents moved (when I was 24 ) threw out literally a lawn garbage back full of them that had barely been used.
My SILs have a ton too, that is why I wouldn't buy it for them.

A gift card to a mall (Like a Simon gift card for Roosevelt Field) or an Amex gift card - that way she can use it at whatever store she likes.

my niece is 13 and i always buy her clothes from american eagle, ambercrombie and hollister. hooded sweatshirts are very in. otherwise a gift card maybe.
eta- starbucks gift cards are all the rage too
