what to do for....runny nose, sneezing, and slight cough (no fever)
What can I do to make DD comfortable? She's not congested. I gave her a little benadryl before she went to bed, but she's up there restless and occassionally lets out a cry.
I pray she sleeps through the night, but if she wakes, what can I do?
What's the protocol? Think she needs to go to the ped tomorrow?

Re: what to do for....runny nose, sneezing, and slight cough (no fever)
Whenever DS has a runny nose I still use the humidifier & elevate the head of his mattress. I find it helps him from coughing at night a bit. And saline drops in his nose, he fights it, but it helps, I try to do it before naps/bed. If you have any questions about bringing her in, I would call the ped. My DS has had a few colds now that usually start with just a runny nose, so for me, I only bring him in if he has fever, a bad cough or gets worse instead of better. Hope she feels better and sleeps for you tonight!
