What to do with a sick kid all day long

It's only 9:21 - he feels so crappy and the croup has turned into an awful cold. I obviously don't want to take him out, but I don't know that I can survive a day in this house.

If it was nicer out we'd be in the yard but it's not, and that's not easy to tell an almost 2 year old.

PLEASE help, I need ideas. Sesame Street is getting old FAST! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Noggin Noggin and more Noggin.

Does he watch any movies?

I agree with C...even if it's not raining, maybe just a few minutes outside with some fresh air would help

I agree with some fresh air, let him dry out and get some germies off of him.

Does he like movies? Try Cars. Chat Icon

How about a walk in the stroller? Or his wagon if he has one?

I agree with the fresh air. I've been dealing with 2 sickies the past 3 days and needless to say I'm ready to claw my eyes out. We went outside yesterday and at least I'M feeling more upbeat today.....

Hope he feels better soon!

As long as he's not feverish, I'd definitely go for a walk to get out for a little bit. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was there last week. Both kids were sick, I was pretty much home with them for 4 days. I was so happy to go back to work bc I was out for more than a quick run to Starbucks or the store. They watched a lot of stuff On Demand.

As long as the croup wasn't caused by allergies but by a virus - then there is no reason not to at least take him outside for a bit. At least in your back yard of for a walk around the neighborhood unless it is raining.

Otherwise, stories, movies, toys that you can just sit and play with like blocks etc. work well here - and lots of cuddling.

Mattea is not well and she was outside at 8;15 playing with her sink. Fresh air is GOOD!
