what to do with these ingredients :
help- i want to make a 1-pot meal but i dont remember the recipe for it! this is what i Do remember:
chicken thighs (boneless, skinless and rubbed in a little olive oil and salt/pepper), parsnips, sweet potatoes
throw them all in a baking pan, drizzle maple syrup on top, throw in oven...
my questions are : 1- what else should or could i add to make this better? 2- how long should this stay in the oven?
or maybe i should just bread the chicken thighs, throw them in the oven and make mac and cheese ...

I Would not do the syrup & just keep the herbs, & maybe put a lil bread crumbs on the chicken ,,

Re: what to do with these ingredients :
no other ingredients? no canned or frozen veggies?
I think baking chicken thighs may not come out that great..... Cooking them in a liquid on the stove usually comes out FAB.
What about dicing an onion, cooking it until it's golden, tossing in the thighs, cooking 5 min or so, adding water or chicken broth until they're submerged. Then you can add whatever you have around.... tomato paste, cayenne, chili powder, cumin, ground corriander.... then it becomes rather mexican. Can add frozen corn, garlic, fried peppers, fried mushrooms to that.... then eat with a baked sweet potato.....
Or, if there's no tomato products in the house, you could instead add mushrooms, maybe some green pepper, let the broth cook down a while, add salt, cayenne, and a couple tablespoons of paprika, and then add sour cream.... serve with noodles.... and then it's something hungarian inspired....
