what to expect at a dr. braverman consult
Just wanted to ask a question about what happens at your consult with him. Are there any exams or is it just a discussion? I have 2 children, 8 and 3. I needed to see a RE for my second pregnancy but through natural monitoring i was able to conceive on my own but it took 2 years. I was debating where to go this time around and when i found dr braverman's website i say a patient questionierre which i filled out not expecting to get a phone call from him within 10 minutes! I have an appointment in august with him. I had issues with protein s last pregnancy so i thought he would be the best choice to go to. thanks!

At my consult we discussed things for about 45mins/1hr in his office and I had bloodwork. You may get a sono too, it all depends.. I'd go in expecting one just in case. Good luck! He's great!

Re: what to expect at a dr. braverman consult
Thank you for responding to me! I got an email from their insurance/billing department. I have GHI as my insurance. They said I have to pay 350 at the initial consult and then GHI will reemburse part (like 50 dollars). I am ok with that, but I wonder about the bloodwork I will have and if that is covered. They gave me a breakdown of having unlimited IUI, 3 IVF lifetime etc. I am more curious about the coverage of blood work. That is the main thing I want done, and once I have an answer my husband and I will discuss how willing we are to go through the steps if it will be difficult for us to have another baby. Just curious if anyone else who has GHI can give me a better idea of coverage! THanks!

Re: what to expect at a dr. braverman consult
I have GHI I pay $15 for bloodwork.. but for the big RPL (recurrent pregnancy loss) panel, that covers thrombo, immune..... It was $800.... and that was WITH a 90% discount!! so... just be prepared!! If it gets you the answers you need to carry a successful pregnancy then it's money well spent!
ETA: Since we have the same insurance and are with the same doctor, feel free to FM anytime with questions!

what to expect at a dr. braverman consult
Hey Penny Cat has been so helpful to me! I have GHI too. But, I have met my deductible. DH and I just did the bloodwork through Reprosource... which is the immunology bloodwork that Dr. B likes and we paid the safe guard payment which is around $648 dollars.
