What type of spices do you add to your homemade purees and finger food?

I've used cinnamon with roasted sweet potato bites, tried a little curry with steam carrots, DD loves everything...

How can I keep going with the spices? What type of spices do you add to what type of foods? Trying to develop a refined palate Chat Icon

DD is 10 months if that matters

Re: What type of spices do you add to your homemade purees and finger food?

With both my kids, I did a lot of different spices from the get go like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cumin, thyme, garlic (although technically not a spice), rosemary, some chili powder, basil, oregano. You name it, I spiced their food with it. But from the start, I would try a food, then if there was no reaction, I would give it to them from whatever I made for the family and then just puree it. So they always ate what we ate.
The only thing I didn't put in their food at that age was salt.
Both are phenomenal eaters.

Thanks, that helps. I put a bunch of garlic and onion powder on her dinner pasta and she gobbled it up, hopefully she continues her adventurous eating!
