What type of white wine is best to cook with?
Can I buy the white cooking wine from the supermarket? Some recipes I see call for dry white wine, is that the same stuff?

The ones that you buy in the store are really too salty IMO...
The old saying is that you shouldnt cook with any wine that you wouldnt drink...but I have had some very good results with some low priced wines...
Incidently the opposite is true when making a vodka sauce..you actually want the cheapest vodka you can get..the better vodkas are too smooth for cooking. Popov is good or Gordons for cooking
