What was/is your DC's first birthday theme if you had one?

I am not sure if I should have a theme, so far the only thing decided is that we are having a lot of people and italian food

Well I am a very organized person and a planner-type. I like when things coordinate. With that said, we are having a "theme" even though Troy's 1st bday is going to be a small backyard BBQ. The theme will be The Backyardigans. Going to do invites, plates and such (just 1 pack-the rest regular) and a few balloons!

I was thinking Backyardigans too...but there won't be too many kids there...the only reason I have to figure it out is b/c my mom is buying the paper goods and the cake and wants to know.

We are having it at home too, but with like 40 people

I think I will make DD's birthday party all about her - and the adults will eat off Backyardigan plates or whatever too. I think it's cute that way. It IS for DC anyway, not the adults....

We are having it in our backyard - and we are a Backyardigan LOVIN' house --- so it's going to be all about the Backyardigans (oh - and Jack too! )

Since he was born at the end of June, it's perfect for a backyard BBQ party.

He loves the Backyardigans so that's we will do.

I had it at a restuarant, and didn't really do a theme - just everything pink and white.

i got monkey hats, cake plates, and tablecloths from oriental trading.com I used multicolored balloons

I did Winnie the Pooh 1st birthday party theme.
This was the night of his birthday, I saved the rest of the party supplies for the party.


And I made his cake.



DS's birthday is in a month and we are thinking about doing the backyardigans. And, there will be mostly adults and we are still doing a childrens theme.

We did Angelina Ballerina. Everything was a ballerina theme. Very fun and very girly! and I gave out the books as favors

DS #1 was Barnyard (had his party at Queens County Farm). DS #2 was "The Cake's on Me" (party at VFW hall).

My 4 year old is still undecided about his 5th birthday theme. 2 year old's will be Little Einstein's for his 3rd (since he has no say ).

We're doing a whole red/white/blue 4th of July theme (her bday is 7/7 but her party is 7/5)

I wanted a polka dot theme in pastels, but I can't find anything. So we're doing the ol' hugs n stitches theme and I'll probably order the invites that match from autumns creek.
