what was the one most helpful thing you got from this board?

I remember when I found Ale had a lump under her nipple and I was petrified - hadn't heard back yet from the Pediatrician - but people on here reassured me, that it is a breast bud and totally normal.

The was probably the one post that helped me the very most ever.

And the pediatrician told me the same thing, thank God...

I couldn't just pick one thing.

At different times there were so many great pieces of advice.

I do have to say that without this board I would have no clue that the Miracle Blanket even existed - so that would def. be one of the big ones!

Re: what was the one most helpful thing you got from this board?

The supportive FMs that I have gotten from some wonderful women here. For some reason they were able to read between the lines and send me great fms to make me feel I wasn't alone .

I hope to do the same for someone else who is in need

The support with CIO.
It was a very rough few nights, but, with the support, hugs, and advice we got through it and Thankfully DS has been a very good sleeper.

I've learned little everyday kind of things from here. More or less stuff that made me say "Hmm I never thought of doing that" Chat Icon Chat Icon WOW!

I have to say that the GTG's and playdates have been wonderful and so much fun. I look forward to them all the time.

The website has also given me so many different ideas of decorating as well.

This might sound silly but I am ever so grateful to ~Colleen~ for putting me on to the Simplicity Vacumn. My life became so much easier!!! Having a GREAT vacum is a huge deal!!!

I love this website. I am constantly learning about things and new ideas!!!

Here's to LIF and the girls (and boys) who make the LIF community so wonderful!!!

A sense of community.

I was feeling somewhat lost awhile ago & while I didn't post about it, knowing the support was here if I did was a tremendous help.

Also off the board, one poster helped me with ADHD information & made me feel a lot better about my circumstances. For that I am eternally grateful.

Re: what was the one most helpful thing you got from this board?

To accept and appreciate the collickly, devilish, spirited, high maintenance little monkey that I have, and to provide the most tremendous support during the more difficult moments with her...

The support that I've gotten when I've needed it most has been the absolute most helpful thing I have gotten from this board. It's nice to know that if I ever need some support (or a lot of it!), I can come here and get it. That's invaluable in my book.

Re: what was the one most helpful thing you got from this board?

I haven't been on this board long but so far the BF support/help has been very useful to me. I don't have many mommy friends and none of the parents in my life (mom or MIL) breastfed so they aren't very helpful or understanding when it comes to this.

Thank you ! Chat Icon

I don't think I could pick just 1 thing.

Its an awesome feeling to know that if you have a problem, question, concern, etc that you have a place to turn and almost always can get an answer!

Without a doubt, the support. Whether it be on the boards from people I don't even know, to the real life friends I've made on here who make it a special journey as we watch our children grow up together.

I would definetly have to say the continued support and the reassurance when Jacob was colic and I had PPD.

Exactly what I would have said. In the beginning I had SUCH a difficult time with her constant crying and just my over all emotional state.

Going through all that with other women and sharing their experiences and knowing that they got through it made me believe in myself and my strength. And because of that I am now the one giving advice to new moms who are going through what I went through.

I have developed very good friendships with some women on here because of what I went through who have helped through more than they'll ever know Chat Icon

Re: what was the one most helpful thing you got from this board?

Hard to say because sometimes I feel that everything I know about being a mom I learned from lif. but specifically I guess I can say the miracle blanket, support for a constantly sick baby, help thru the CIO process and the friends I've made, especially the jersey girls and ones I can always rely on to respnd to my questions and help me out.
