what week in the pregnancy is it considered safe...
to have the baby and not have it in the NICU? I would assume it would be after 36 weeks...maybe?

Week 36 is when everything is developed in most babies (lungs, brain). Babies are considered premie if they are born before 38 weeks, but that doesn't mean they will end up in NICU.

Before 36 weeks is a preemie. Time in the NICU, I believe is based on their development more than their weeks.
After 36 weeks, you are considered full-term.

My Dr. told me today that I've reached full term- 37 weeks. But she did say last week that if I delivered the baby would be fine.
