what were some of the best things you got ...
for your shower? what were things that you really couldn't live without and some things that you got that you really didn't use.

Could not live without my swing (FP ocean wonders). I also love my bouncy seat. I am glad that I got a lot of creams and bath stuff. I love the SIDS campaign sleep sacks (she sleeps so comfortably in those)
Could live without "swaddlers", a million receiving blankets, baby bjorn, wipe warmer, and bottle sanitizer.

Could not live without the bouncy seat.
We also got so many bibs that I thought I would never use them- I ended up buying more. I got a ton of recieving blankets that I used a lot during the first few weeks but haven't touched since.
Also the Dr. Browns bottles infant gift set.
Could live without:
Crib
Pack and play, although I feel like one day it will come in handy

I couldn't live without the swing. She spent many a night in that swing from 6 weeks to 12 weeks.
I never used the bottle sterilizer. We either boiled them or put them in the dishwasher.

Didn't use:
swing (my daughter hated it)
bottle warmer (didn't want one.Its just as easy and fast to put bottle under warm water.)

BEST:
Swing - couldn't live without it..loved it in the beginning and still loves it now!
Miracle Blanket - I avoided many sleepless nights using this blanket (and I still use it )
Bibs- thought I got WAY to many but I use them like crazy now
Diaper Champ - Very convenient - just lean over and drop it in (and use your own bags)...we live in an upstairs apt so it would be annoying to constantly take the garbage out
Bassinett - loved having him right next to me for the first 4 months.
Bundle Me - NO JACKETS!!!!
Video Monitor - very clear - peace of mind
Things I returned/Don't use
Wipe Warmer
Bottle sterilizer
Bottle warmer
Receiving blankets - We did use them in the beginning but you only need a couple.

LOVED:
FP Ocean Wonders Aquarium Swing
Peg Venezia Stroller - used it from the beginning - di not use a snap and go.
Could live without:
Diaper Champ. Sorry, as they get older, nothing contains the smell. We never use it - total waste!
Bouncy Seat - Andrew just never sat in one. I used to swing 99% of the time.

Baby Bjorn
Bottle Sterlizer
Million & one receiving blankets
Stuffed animals
CD for Crib - a regular cd player would've lasted longer
Things I loved:
Baby Einstein videos (Mozart, Bach, Einstein)
Bouncy Chair (wasn't a wire one, so he used it till he was about 15 months old)
Stroller (came with Rainsheild, netting)
Silver Rattle (put it in the fridge so it gets cold for teething time)
Video Monitor -(I plan to use when they're in our basement with their friends )

I can't think of much right now, but one thing that pops into my mind was a hanger set that also came with things to put on the bar that said the sizes - Michael's clothes are organized by size... very convenient!
