What were some of your worst costumes as a kid

My mother made me go as Fred Flinstone when I was about 10, I was mortified, stupid plastic costumes

I went as a punk rocker a bunch of times. I also remember those horrible plastic masks that I could barely breathe in. I think I was Strawberry Shortcake one year.

In 4th grade I went as a fairy and my wand pierced my PB&J sandwich

I remember in Kindergaten I was Rhinokey (remember the dolls - half Rhino, half Monkey). I slid down the slide on the playground and ripped the darn thing in half...

Then, for about 3 years straight I was "Punk Rock Girl". I had a purple and pink spiked hair wig. I thought I was the coolest!

A NUN!!!!! My mother made me a costume..she actually did a good job...but I swear I have NO CLUE why I had to be a nun!! I gotta see if I can dig up that pic..so pure was I !!!

I tried to be Shirley Temple one year.

But back then my hair was stick straight and despite the fact that my mom made me SLEEP with rollers in my hair, I didn't have a single curl.

So I was Shirley's less talented, flat haired cousin.

My mom's idea - a pair of dice. I'm sure she thought it up because she wanted us to do something "twin-like"

I can tell you walking aroudn with a box is a PITA.

I don't really remember what my worst costume was, but do you remember what they halloween costumes used to be made of?? Plastic! Remember they came in boxes and had a plastic mask and the whole rest of the costume was plastic and tied around your neck and waist. I remember I was Strawberry Shortcake one year!
The costumes are made alot better now and of course cost alot more $.

I was on old lady one year. My mother thought it was a great costume. I looked stupid.

Two years ago, my co-worker decided to go as The Blue Fairy from Pinocchio. She looked absolutely terrific...except that she used the wrong dye & had blue hair for over a week.

My boss would stare at her & make no comment. Later he said to me "Is there something I need to know about XXXXXXX?" I said "Yes, she dressed as the blue fairy, but it turns out it wasn't a costume at all. It was her true identity!"

(Keep in mind - we don't hire people with black nail polish here).

Ooo, on a sidenote, I'd have to say JT takes the cake on worst costume. One year his sister wanted to be Sandy (the dog from Annie) and his mom made HIM dress up like Annie! And to make matters worse...SHE STILL HAS THE PICTURE ON HER WALL!

anyone remember the plasticy costumes with the masks that came in a box I had a love hate relationship with these...loved thembefore I knew better...but hated them when I saw that my other friends had homemade costumes...my mom wasn't that creatve
