Same Bassinet my DD used- I got it for $30 at a consignment store.

With my son we started with a bassinet, he didnt like it, nor the pack and play so we ended up with his in his papasan swing.

Not making that mistake this time. We are gonna use a co-sleeper.

We'll be using the same basinett/co-sleeper that I used for DD.

With my first he was in a bassinet in our room (for about 5 days and then into the crib he went) The second was was in the crib from day one and is a better sleeper and goes to bed easier than my first.

I used the wicker bassinet downstairs all the time for both.

Inside it we use a baby positioner.. to incline her.. Its WONDERFUL

We were originally going to use a bassinet, but I've heard horror stories about transitioning the baby to the crib. For that reason, I think we're going to put the crib in our room for the first few months, and then move it into the nursery. Either that, or we will start the baby out in the nursery right away--it's right next to our bedroom.

We used a wood cradle with DD and will use it with this next baby as well. We had the baby in our room for the first couple of months.

We used a family bassinet for DD and will for any other DC we have. My DH and two of his siblings had also slept in it as infants as well as almost all of the nieces and nephews. It is an old wicker bassinet. DD was in it for 4 mos.

We have a bassinet BUT we are going to TRY and start her out right in her own room. My brother and SIL had their daughter in her room from day one and for the most part, she was sleeping really well from the beginning. Gonna give a shot!!

She is going straight into her crib in her room.

With Hayley she was such a horrible sleeper she would only sleep on me or DH or in the swing for the first 2 weeks she came home from the hospital...after that I put her in her crib and she was much better.

Bassinett or a cradle. We have both but haven't
decided which one yet.

This is adorable! But I have the same question - DH and I feel cramped in our queen with just us.

I got a hand me down from my cousin which i used for DS as well. Its a regular bassinett.

This is adorable! But I have the same question - DH and I feel cramped in our queen with just us.

Per my FM to another LIF'er

Mine is from Walmart and it's called:
The First Years Close and Secure Sleeper

Baby's R Us has one similar:
Deluxe Snuggle Nest - Patchwork Moon & Stars

I would have bought the one at Baby's R Us, more room to grow in, has the positioners.. (we ended up buying a separate baby positioner and putting it inside the Walmart one). Babys R Us version comes with a soft sheet where the one from walmart is like laying her on plastic.. but I use that positioner which is MUCH softer (but not scary soft)

I have a Queen Bed, we both have room but its *JUST* enough for us.. A King Size bed would probably give a whole lot more room

ETA: This one also is held to the bed by a flap that's pushed up on top of the mattress between the headboard and matress as well as below the matress, so it won't move.

Your free from your ribs down easily.

The whole point is to make it secure and it's sides are RIGID so there's just no way in hell you're going to roll on her. Plus she has her own space so its not us cuddling her and its easier to put her in her crib during the day. Less separation anxiety. (sorta - haha)
