what woudl you do? car related
We have a leased car that is up in november we are going to more than likely get the Honda CRV.
I have an 1997 chevy that runs fine but does have 105000 miles on it but no problems at all with how it runs.
Questions: Should we just go ahead and get TWO new cars or should we just get the one that the lease is up for and wait until my car dies completelty That could be 6 montsh or it could be 2 years?
Also should we lease both? buy both? lease one buy on? I am soo confused.

It depends on your financial situation. I'm sure others will give more scenarios, but here are a few:
Your financial situation. Can you afford to lease two new cars? Can you afford to buy two new cars? Do you like leasing? Would you rather buy? How long do you keep cars generally and how many miles do you drive? Do you like getting a new car every couple of years or are you fine with driving a car into the ground?
What do you use the cars for? Are they safe and appropriate for your family?
Finally, what does your gut tell you? What would you rather do? What are you comfortable with? Are you letting others dicate a decision?

Just be careful because all debt including your car payments will go against the amount that you will qaulify for a mortgage. Debt to Income ratio. Just be careful that with both new payments you can still qaulify for the mortgage you are planning!

If homeownership is really your goal, I would opt for the most reliable option for now. Maybe buy a certified used car off a lease. Toyota or Hondas last a long time and retain their value. I would try to save to get into a home sooner rather than saddle myself with more debt now.
You just have to decide what's important and what's the best value.
I like leasing because my payments are low and I get a new car every few years.
