What would you do? Family vacation (Long)

My mom is turning 60 in January, she and my dad booked a cruise for them, me, DH, DS, my sister and her friend for the week of my mom's birthday. Since they booked it on their last cruise, my aunt and uncle who were there booked it for them and their kds as well( my three cousins, their DH's and SO's and my one cousin's two kids).

When they got home and told us, a cousin of my mom and my uncle decided he and his wife wanted to go with THEIR kids and grandkids (they are very close and we all travel together often) so this brings the total to 23 people

Just last week, another cousin of my mom and uncle (not the sibling of the other cousin) found out about the trip and is majorly PIZZED that she wasn't "invited". Now. No one "invited" anyone, people just decided to come. And this cousin HATES us, tells us all the time how she wishes she was born into another family and that we are a waste of time But she wants to come on vacation with us? She has my great aunt (her mother) trying to guilt everyone about it and dig up info so she can act like she wasn't "invited". PLUS my great aunt is VERY elderly, my mom and uncle help this cousin take care of her and so if she DID come on the cruise, she'd be living her elderly, disabled mother ALONE for 7 days in the middle of winter (she can't drive)

So, there are a few people who think that she should just be invited and hopefully she can't afford it and that would be that....but right now my mom is so upset b/c she is making all these comments, etc. And NO ONE wants her to come.

What would you do?

to be honest- if someone would cause that much of a headahce about a vacation, then i really wouldn't want them ON my vacation. It totally takes the vacation out of vacation


there's tons of cruises in the world- she should go find her own.

she sounds kind of like a toxic person. I'd really put my foot down and stand strong about not inviting her. I'd still rather deal with the headache that would ensue from that then have her on vacation with me.


on the flip side- there will be alot of people there, so you guys might not have to deal with her that much. But, still, not worth it to me

I would say, yes, you were not invited, you say you don't like us, so why would you want to come anyhow? And there was not any invites, people just decided to come so don't feel left out. Its not all about you
