What's a nice but inexpensive token of appreciation
gift to give to a couple of employees? I was thinking flowers - they are two women, but that can be costly right? Ideas? TIA
They don't really go for manicures..or like chocolate too much.. hmmm

Re: What's a nice but inexpensive token of appreciation
If you work in NYC, Starbucks Gift Cards (or any other local vendor ... Au Bon Pane, Hale & Hearty, local manicure place etc ...)

One company I worked for used to give us a gc for the company cafeteria so we could get lunch on them.

Re: What's a nice but inexpensive token of appreciation
Are you their manager? Can they leave an hour early on Friday? That would have meant A LOT to me to beat the commute and start my weekend a little earlier.

Excellent idea!
ETA: Since I don't drink coffee and haven't stepped foot into DD in years...I like this idea, if you're allowed to do it of course. The Godiva is also a good idea.

Re: What's a nice but inexpensive token of appreciation
For around $30-40 per bottle (I think closer to $30), you can get Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Yellow Label Brut Champagne.
That's one of my favorites.

I would say an comped day off, or to work half a day. I would LOVE if I got that as appreciation for my work.

Buy them lunch
ITA. Find out where they order in from ( a local place) and pay for their order one day. I would also buy a card for each and write something nice to them in the card.

Oh really? I've actually never seen that show.
DH had a bottle of this on hand the night he proposed... and we had it again this past new year's!
