Going from 2 to 3 was waaaay harder than anything for me/us.
Going from 0 to 1 was hard because you cannot imagine the sleepless nights, being totall y responsible for such a tiny creature until you go through it.
Going from 1 to 2 was hard because you have to divide you attention. DH and I would play man to man defense when we had 2. One of as was responsible for each.
Going from 2 to 3 was insane. You are out numbered even when DH is there. You rely on your 5 year old to cover a zone and that is not reliable coverage
Mine were 4 and 2 when DD2 was born so the ages may have had something to do with it. I wouldn't change a thing about it, my third is awesome, but it was a BIG adjustment.

Hard to say for me. 1 to 2 kids were exactly 2 years apart and I didn't have any issues. I had two in diapers for a bit but enjoyed it a lot.
Going to #3 was a few years later! I had #3 when the first two were 6 and 8!! So I certainly didn't have 3 toddlers running around! My older two are in school and I am getting to spend a lot of time with the baby. On the other hand, the baby can put a crimp in the older kids plans a lot - especially when he's napping and they have to be picked up or dropped off somewhere!
