Whats going on w/my 4mo old? Please Help!
He was doing so nice, eating every 4 hrs 8am, 12pm, 4pm & 8pm, bed, then up at 8am and we did it again.
The past 3 days hes been xtra grumpy, crying, whining, etc. He was still eating every 4hrs, or maybe once he'd only go 3hrs but the next feeding he'd go 5hrs.
Today was different, he ate at 8am, 12pm, was screaming by 3pm and again by 6pm and now hes in his crib...and I'm thinking hes ready to sleep thru the night. What do I do? Do I wake him again or let him sleep and fear he'll be up by 6am? Could this be a growth spurt or is he ready for cereal since he seems xtra hungry? I'm so confused and frustrated

Welcome to mothering a young baby~ JUST when you think you've got a nice schedule eked out, they go and change it on ya.....
Perhaps try offering a bottle every 3 hours rather than 4 during the day. Whats his nap schedule like?

Michael has been going through the same thing. I think he's going through a growth spurt. He's been up more in the night, cranky, sleeping weird hours. I think I remember him like this before during growth spurts. Maybe it has to do with teething too. SO confusing.

Abigail was the same way, we had a get routine going and then everything went crazy the middle of last week.
I took her to the Dr and turns out she has an ear infection and a cold
Which made me feel bad for getting mad/upset at her when she was so fussy/cranky. But now she's on meds. and things seem to be getting better.
Hopefully things work back out

I know, I was waiting for this nice schedule to get all screwy!! His naps are so random now...I dont even know... I guess he has one short nap in the morning 10:30-11:30, then maybe 2:00-4pm, then hes usually up until 8pm.
I just put the sleep sack on him and he barely woke up...hes really tired and I'm expecting he'll sleep for a while now

There is a 4 month growth spurt I think...maybe he's just wiped. Did you have him out for a walk today? That always wipes DD out.

A nice walk will help also making bottles warm and tasty knocks my DD right out. She is teething and that threw off her schedule too.

Just go with the flow. At 4 months it could be anything. A growth spurt, teething, just feeling out-of-sorts.
