what's next.?...FET was BFN
I havent posted in a while but after my first IVF cycle and got a BFN it was a disaster they kept telling me it was implantation bleeding i insisted it was AF, long story short i go in for blood beta is only 20 and i was pretty much having a chemical. then two days after they call me saying its an emergency and i need to go in for a rhogam shot bc i am O negative. so three weeks ago went in for my FET again Dr scholl only alowed me to transfer one. this time 8dp5dt i got a BFP on FRER and Clearblue digital , four days later my beta was a 3. so AF showed up yesterday. The Dr called wouldnt give me any answers said to go in for anothe consult. i am so upset and confused. i made two consult appts with Dr Kofinas and Cornell. plus also going back to See dr hershlag at NS (he did my last transfer). my two remaining frosties are B grade i think. what would u guys do, take the chance transfer two B grade or go for another cycle with a diff dr? For me its unexplained fertility his counts are a little low. i dont know what to do. Should i have special testing done? any suggestions would be appreciated.

what's next.?...FET was BFN
First I am so sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, I can relate. We are also unexplained. I had 6 BFN IUIs. 1 IVF BFN. Second IVF chemical with a BETA of 5. I had 2 embryos frozen. 1 BB frozen on day 5 and 1 AC frozen on day 6. We just transferred them both on Wednesday. After the second failed IVF I asked for additional testing. I got an endo biopsy, hysterscopy, and RLP and some other BW. All came back normal except my Prolactin is high which I knew already so my RE gave me meds for that. So if I was you I would get additional testing. I think going to Kofinas for immune testing is a good idea. Grade B is considered good. My RE said the BB I transferred had a good chance. So after your testing if something shows up and you need more meds or if nothing shows up then I would transfer both of the BBs before doing another fresh cycle. A frozen cycle is so much easier. You could always transfer the embryos to another RE if you wanted to. Personally if this FET doesn't work for me I already have an appointment set up for February with SIRM in NYC so I can get immune testing and a new RE. I will not proceed with my RE any further if this is a BFN. SIRM takes my insurance and I only have one partially covered IVF left. I am searching for answers since there is no reason this isn't working and its so frustrating. I will also probably get some other opinions from other REs. I really only have one more chance so I need to make it work if this FET doesn't work. So I would say get second opinions, try something different (I tried acupuncture this time), and do the FET when you have some answers. GL

thanks so much ladies. Not to sound like an idiot but what exactly would they be testing for? is it just blood work? this isnt something i would have found out about if i wasnt testing for it specifically? Kofinas would be the easiest since i live in queens and work downtown. Is it a big process? sorry or all the questions i am just at a lost.

Re: what's next.?...FET was BFN
I am currently seeing Kofinas after three consecutive failed FET's. He did testing on me. Some was in the office and another was done at LabCorp....like 25 vials.
My former RE told me that "sometimes there just isn't a reason" why my FET's failed....which wasn't good enough for me. Dr. K. found that I have a 4g/5g mutation, a form of thrombophilia. It would explain why I had 3 losses last year, along with my failed FET's, because it affects implantation, something I suspected all along (but my RE refused to look into it).
I am taking Metformin now and trying on our own until March. If we do IVF then, we will have new meds to use before and after the transfer.
Hope this helps!

Yes. If something comes up they will most likely put you on meds. Things can show up that effect implantation or other issues. My RLP BW didn't show anything except Prolactin so I went on meds for that. If anything shows up when I do the immune testing I will go on meds for those issues.
What else am I doing to help. I am doing acupuncture and eating gluten free. I also don't smoke and I have a glass of wine here and there. I take vitamins. Not sure what else there is to do. I think I just have really bad luck. Hopefully something will work one day, well thats what I keep on telling myself.
