whats one thing your students do...
that gets under your skin?
It drives me nuts when they use the word "mines" I tell them its "mine" because "mines blow up" haha
they totally stopped saying it and I used to hear them correcting each other saying that "mines blow up" haha they are first graders!

or when they say mines i just keep saying who's? until they get the hint and say mine

i always tell them "mines are where we dig for diamonds".
another one that drives me insane is "what to do?" as in...
"what to do with my homework?" instead of "what should i do...?"

For some reason, the sound of a pencil sharpener (the little one with the cover) dropping on the floor drives me crazy.

Honestly, not too much. They're really great kids, but I'm a stickler for our uniform policy, so it drives me absolutely insane when they have their shirts untucked. It just looks horrible.

When kids raise their hands to say "I'm done" also really gets on my nerves.
I don't like the "I'm done" either. So what I do is tell the children they have to keep working until a certain time; ie: "It's 1:00; You have until 1:25 to work." It's keeps those hands down, and encourages them to work slowly and carefully, and to keep adding more to, let's say, a writing assignment.

Thats so funny, I hate when that happens--I tell them that is my pet peeve--I cringe when it hits the floor and nevermind the mess with all the shavings

Ok, I thought of one. I hate when you have a know-it-all who shouts out the answer after you've called on someone else. It is BEYOND rude, in my book, and annoys me to no end. I have one student, who, no matter what I say to them, still does this. The other students have even started to say they're annoyed to this particular student, but still, everytime...

Lets see:
-nose picking
-runny noses
-poor hygiene in general
Im sorry, but I have a HUGE issue when parents send in dirty children. Clip and clean your kid's fingernails. Take away the PS3 and throw them in a shower so the rest of the class, the teacher and the assistants can stop getting sick.

I think that if one particular child says that enough, a light bulb should go off. Perhaps an attention issue or a hearing loss.

oh my god... that drives me insane too... or when they use the electric pencil sharpener and leave the pencil in there for like 30 seconds... it's like "Um... it's done!!!"

I agree!!! It grosses me out when kids come in with dirt caked in their nails 
I also cannot stand when parents send their kids to school sick just b/c they can't take the day off from work. I'm sorry and I understand everyone gets a limited amount of sick days, but it's really not fair to me, the other students and your sick child!!

or when they ask me do we have to write this in Spanish or English. Um what class are you in??? Well unless I tell you differently write it in Spanish!!!
My usual answer to them is Portuguese!
Or the ever all classic-- Does spelling count
