What's the deal with no mirrors in dressing rooms?

I cannot STAND this. Many times it has stopped me from trying something on. Why do stores do this? I hate to walk out of the dressing room and look into a communal mirror....I feel like I can't take my time and do my ritualistic turning and spinning and cocking my head to the side to make myself look better


But seriously....anyone know the reasoning behind why they do this?

i HATE it

its for the associates to be forced to help you- so when you walk out and look at yourself, they can say- that looks great or they can get you another size, at least, thats my thought as to why they do this

I think they don't have them b/c of the location of camera's outside the dressing rooms, that may catch views into the mirrors.

I guess they can move the camera's but apparently they don't feel like it is a big deal.

Unless the return policy stinks at the store I'm buying from, I never try anything on there.

I'm with you- I hate it. I need to look and criticize myself in private. I don't want to have to step out and hear the sales people say you look great when I know they are lying!

it's the worst. i usually pull out my purse mirror and try to see as much as i can. i don't like going out if i can't see how it looks.

I hate that too! especially if you're trying on dresses or something and don't have the appropriate bra.....so embarrassing!
