What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
I'd like to start a Christmas Morning breakfast tradition and would love to hear your suggestions.
Night before prep is tough for me as we host a large X-mas Eve crowd but if it's something simple I could prep or throw together I'm open to it.
Family of 3, DD is 4 and will eat anything.
I was thinking a fritatta and fruit smoothies but that can really be any weekend for us.

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
When I was young it was the one morning of the year that my mom made cinnamon toast and we LOVED it as kids! Now she still makes it along with a more substantial breakfast but to me the cinnamon toast is what says Christmas morning.

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
We don't really eat Christmas Morning. Rob and I have Coffee and maybe some toast. We'll give the kids a little Cereal.. but it's because we have a big dinner at my IL's at noon. Then we have another big dinner at my sister's around 3.
WE DO have Christmas Upside Down Breakfast... after we get home and have played for a bit and the tummies are rumbling.. I make breakfast for dinner! Baked French Toast, Eggs, Bacon, Juice..

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
It's either panettone french toast or homemade cinnamon rolls.

I would like to start a tradition and I think this year I am going to make this Sticky buns
Instead of raisins I am going to use chocolate chips.
I have made these before and they are very easy to make and so yummy!

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
I'm doing this, cause I know my DD will love it. And also eggs, so we can eat something "healthy" too
Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring 2 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits OR 1 tube Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted 1/2 C. pancake syrup 1/3 C. packed brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 C. chopped pecans, opt. 1/4 C. chopped almonds, opt.
Spray a fluted pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if desired).
Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top.
Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges (closely together) to form a ring.
Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures.
Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool for 1 minute in the pan, then invert onto a serving platter and enjoy!

Growing up, my mom always made cheesy eggs, bacon with bagels and crossiants for breakfast

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
Christmas morning my entire family goes to my aunts house (used to be my Grandma's before she passed) and eats their faces off.
There's about 30-35 of us every year including children and we eat: eggs bacon sausage corned beef hash bagels
I tried one year to bring baked french toast- NO ONE touched it. My mom's side of the family dosen't eat anything sweet for breakfast. They're weirdos

Re: What's Your Christmas Morning Breakfast?
I'm doing my 1st ever Christmas Brunch. If it works out, I hope to make it a tradition.
I'm serving a pecan coffee cake, a "pie" made with eggs, sausage, peppers (quiche-like), and baked french toast. This is all I can manage since I of course haven't wrapped everything and have a million and one things to do tonight and before tomorrow AM.
