Re: Christmas Morning / Breakfast
My mom used to make a MASSIVE Christmas breakfast - but the boys want to open gifts and play with gifts and call friends - so breakfast is just a distraction for them now. Plus Rob's mom makes an EARLY supper (like 1pm early) - so we do a very light breakfast. This year will be:
Scrambled eggs with veggies English muffin OJ or Milk.
That's all!

Re: Christmas Morning / Breakfast
We are having eggs, bacon, sausage, quiche , Cinnamon rolls and my German Great Grandmothers recipe called Noodle Flekins...Its a huge pot of egg noodles mixed with bacon, butter and scrambled eggs eaten with sour cream, ketchup or applesauce.
Nothing fancy here.

Re: Christmas Morning / Breakfast
We make some southern (= fattening) breakfast pie.
Pie crust, the roll-out kind cook a roll of jimmy dean sausage - drain put in pie crust scramble 8 eggs pour over sausage add 1/2 bag M.O.L of shredded cheese ( I use Cheddar, mom uses Swiss) bake at 350 until eggs set ( about 1/2 hour or so)
serve with hollandaise sauce - I use the Knorr package
I like it because people can pick at it whenever they are hungry.

Re: Christmas Morning / Breakfast
I was going to make the creme brulee french toast but time got away from me! I'm making it tonight.
My dad always made ham and cheese omlettes. Since he never cooked, it was a great treat!
