What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
We're going to be in Disney with the kids & will be there for my dh birthday. My mom's coming with us, she'll watch the kids while we have a night out. I have no idea where we should go for a romantic dinner. I would like to make reservations now, any reccomendations?

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
Super romantic, super expensive and adults only (the only restaurant in Disneyworld that has an 18 and over policy) is Victoria & Alberts!
It is truly amazing. It is a AAA-rated Five Diamond restaurant. I have had some of the best meals of my life there.
After that, I think nice and romantic (although not adults only) is The California Grill on top of the Contemporary during the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The food is yummy and the view is amazing.

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
Le Cellier sounds really nice...they have great reviews! Victoria & Alberts sound awesome but pricey, 125.00 per person..wow! I think we'll try California Grill another night with my mom & the kids. Are there any other nice restaurants we should keep in mind for our stay?

I love Narcoosees and Citricos at the Grand Floridian, and the Yachtmans Steakhouse at the Beach & yacht Club.

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
Are you hung up on it being a Disney restaurant? We had a great dinner at Emerils restaurant at Universal. It's probably the "nicest" Orlando restaurant we've eaten at. We did take DSs to Narcosee last year and were very unimpressed.

We're staying at a Disney Resort, for my dh birthday dinner, I was looking for something close by. I'm glad you mentioned Emerils, if we go to Universal Studios with the family I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
If money is no issue - Victoria and Alberts.
Where are you staying?
If you don't want V&A there are plenty of places to have a nice adult dinner - I recommend:
California Grill -good food/good views- try to get an ADR for about an hour before the fireworks at the MK that night - or if you are there at 9 you can see the water parade, or maybe for during sunset. Good food, gorgeous views. (they pipe in the narration/music for the MK fireworks.
Jiko at AKL
Citricos at GF - there is also Narcossees which has good food and is nice BUT can be VERY loud.
DH and I had 2 nice dinners (on 2 different trips) at Bistro De Paris in France part of World Showcase in EPCOT - it is above Les Chefs de France. We asked for a table by the window and we were able to watch illuminations at the end of the evening. I would definitely go back there
If you like fish - I have heard good things about Todd English's Bluezoo at the Dophin. If your DH loves steak there is Shula's steakhouse at the same hotel.
Cat Cora has a restaurant called Kouzzina at the Boardwalk hotel.
If you don't want to spend that much:
San Angel Inn has a nice atmosphere (decorated like you are dining next to a mayan temple in an outdoor market under the stars. The boats to the ride slowly pass by. Dark restaurant.
Coral Reef - fish tanks along the main wall.

Le Cellier is a great adults only option
Hmm Le Cellier is not an adults only restaurant. They have a children's menu.
The only adults only restaurant is Victoria and Albert's at the grand floridian.
Unfortunately you will find children at any of the restaurants at WDW since it is a family destination. But the signature (2 TS credit) places that I mentioned above) tend to have much fewer children.
Your best bet for mostly adult dining is to go later in the evening if that matters to you.

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
We're staying at the Boardwalk, we'll have to try Kouzzina while we're there! My husband & I have different taste, he loves steak and I love fish. He would love LeCellier! I like the menu at Citricos. I'm not sure about Bistro De Paris, it doesn't look like they take reservations & I can't find there menu online; I like the fact that you can see illuminations from the window. California Grill & Coral Reef are two places I want to take the kids to. My dh enjoys fine dining but I just can't see spending the extra money at V&A, we'll save that for another time.

I know it's not an "ADULTS ONLY" restaurant, I have been there 3 times with my kids and let me tell you, all 3 times I wished we left them with my mom back at the hotel. It's just probably more enjoyable without the kids

On the Boardwalk, the Flying Fish Cafe is also really good.
The Bistro de Paris restaurant in Epcot is delicious. If you google it you can get a menu. There is no children's menu there and it is mostly adults.

Ahh - I have seen people confuse them - so I wasn't sure. We unfortunately were never lucky with this place - we ate their 2 times - before DDs and both time food wasn't so good - but the last time we had a kid at the next table throwing rolls at us (it was our honeymoon and like 9pm)... Probably part of the reason I never recommend it.

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
For quieter meals, I would avoid places that take the Disney dining plan.
Shula's is excellent - it's a traditional steakhouse in the Dolphin Resort. I read a lot of good reviews of Il Mulino in the Swan resort but I never went there. After dinner, you could go to Jelly Rolls - it's a sing a long piano bar. It's a lot of fun.
Portobello's in DTD is really good too.

If you can swing it, Victoria and Albert's is a real experience. It's a ton of money but worth EVERY penny!!!!

Re: What's your favorite Disney restaurant?
I called & made my Disney dining reservations. Le Cellier was already booked for my dh birthday. I made a reservation for another night. For dh birthday we are going to try Ciricos at GF.
Since we are staying at the Boardwalk, I made reservation for the family at Kouzzina.
For character dining we're going to Crystal Place, Askerhus in Norway & Chef Mickey's.
It's crazy how far in advance you have to make reservations. Our vacation is in August & most of the restaurants only had really early seating or really late seatings. Thanks for all of the recommendations, it helped me decide where to go!! :)
