When are you going on maternity leave?
I'm due July 24th and mentioned to DH that I was thinking I will work up until the end of June. He thought it was strange that I would stop so early. We get up to a year off here with 9 months of it partially paid (about $800-$1000/month depending on the exchange rate).
When do you intend to stop working?

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I'll probably work until around a week before my due date. Unless of course my doctor says otherwise or if I'm getting really uncomfortable.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I plan on working up until my due date hopefully. With DD I stopped about 2 or 3 weeks before my EDD and she was 5 days late.
Im not going to be eligible for maternity leave so it doesnt really matter.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
Planning on working til the due date. I don't have a physical job, and I'd rather save my time for after is here than before, when I'd just be sitting on the couch all day.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I'm due in 2 weeks and am still at work. I "plan" to work up until I go into labor. But it's getting harder and harder everyday so I'm just going to play it by ear and see how I feel. Right now all I'd be doing is sitting at home watching TV and since I don't get any paid maternity leave, I really need to try and stick it out these next 2 weeks (or until I deliver--whichever comes first).

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I worked until 22 weeks. Work was just getting to be too much and it was hard to stay healthy. So I took an early maternity leave.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I would like to work up until the end. I commute to the city for work and somehow I can't see getting on the subway in the middle of July being much fun! So we'll see.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I'm either going to work up until the end and use all my vacation/sick time for maternity leave or if I have a lot of extra time (we get a lot here -- I work for a college) i'm also going to take a few weeks off before my due date.

same. the hardest part will be my commute. As long as i fit behind my steering wheel, I'll be here.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I worked until I had my DD. I wanted to maximize my time home with her so I didn't want any of my maternity leaving starting before she came.

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
I am working until I go into labor. The maternity here is not great, and I do not want to burn any PTO when I am not really in dire need. (although today nearly made me change my mind...I am SOOOO uncomfortable today).

I'll probably work until the Friday before I deliver (most likely I'll be a scheduled C).

Re: When are you going on maternity leave?
3 1/2 weeks prior to my c-section date. I am taking sick days and getting full pay, otherwise I would not be taking the days.
ETA: It has no effect on how much time I take after the baby is born, so I may as well use it! It's been great to have so much time to get everything ready.
