I've been flavoring Ava's food with everything from garlic to cinnamon for about two months now. THe only thing I don't use in her food is salt. I salt our portions after I take hers out. She LOVES garlic. LOVES it. She actually likes a little bit of pepper, too. I don't put too much though!

Miranda started trying table food around 9-10 months (i think) and if she seemed like she wanted it we let her try it. She actually loves spice and somewhat spicey food. She loves guacamole and mexican chicken. She definitely prefers foods with flabor over bland. I worried because of her AR (which was good by then) but she does fine. Nothing really seemed to bother her.

If you're my husband, you would do it from the time they go to table food. Maddie is the champ, eating anything on his plate from mustard to hot sausage.

I think we did it in the 7-9 month range. I simply cannot tolerate bland food

Same here. She gets a little of everything we eat, i don't prepare something separate for her. I do watch the salt though.

When I started giving her table foods around 7 months or so I would just give her anything I was eating to get her used to the spices/flavors.
Like pp said, I wouldn't give her anything too salty.
When I make her eggs I always put pepper in it, she likes it!
