When did you buy your convertible car seat?
So I know Sabrina is only 12 days old but I like to think ahead. Did you have your convertible car seat waaaaay in advance or did you buy it when your DC was ready for it? DH and I received some nice gift cards from our coworkers for BBB and BRU and I don't want to use them for stupid little things I would rather use them for big items.
When should I start looking?

I bought mine when Noah hit the right weight...no use having it sitting around the house. I was glad I waited because the prices went down anyway.

our was a shower gift, so we've had it awhile. We'll buy one for the other car when she transitions into it.

I would wait since they always have recalls and add new safety features.

Agreed. When it was time for Andrew to go in his at 4 months old, they had a recall on the Marathons. We waited a few weeks and got one that wasn't recalled.
I ordered mine online and did not have to pay shipping or tax, plus I got it much cheaper to begin with.

I just ordered the Luau print off this site 2 weeks ago. Then I got a call that that print is out of stock and discontinued and they still have it on there to buy today

I registered for one and got it at my shower. It goes so fast that I am glad I had it when it was time to change her into it.

I got mine at my shower. I moved my DD in it around 5.5 months. I would def use the gc's on something very useful like this.

I ordered the Britax Boulevard early, because they are hard to get a hold of. I probably could have waited another two or three months, but I wasn't sure how much of a backorder there would be.

I got mine at my shower. Since you don't have it yet, I would wait- you have quite a few months for that and you never know what new will come out or what recalls will be made...why bother now?

ditto because styles change/recalls happen, etc. why have it sitting around.

I registered for the Roundabout and got it at my shower.  Good thing, because DS#1 was out of the infant seat by 3 1/2 months.
