When did you DC start watching Baby Einstein DVD's?
Yesterday we put DD in her swing and put on the Mozart one and she LOVED it!! Is it okay for her to be sitting there watching it at 10 weeks?

Most studies would tell you to wait longer if you can, that she is better off watching you fold laundry at this point...

Never. He hated them. I tried several times but I ended up selling them all.

You will get many different views on this. Some say that it is a contributing factor to ADHD. Something with the stimulation and constant change.
Steven watched baby einstein since very young, I don't remember what age, but he really liked it. He still watches it if I put it on for him, but he would much rather watch Sesame Street videos now

My DD watched one of them when she was about 3 months old. She was a very "needy" infant so it was the only way that DH and I could try to eat a meal. We would put it on every night for about 20 minutes. I don't feel like it damaged her in anyway and it helped me find a little sanity at the same time.

We held out until after her first birthday...so I think around 13-14mths she started watching DVD's.

we started with the dvd's at about 3 mths old but only for a short while every few days. I never stuck her in front of the TV for hrs and hrs at a time ya know? I think a little here and there is fine especially since she enjoyed it!

My personal opinion is that no one really knows the impact, and I didn't see a reason to take a risk until my daughter was a year old. Until then a paper bag was entertainment for her. After a year I simply couldn't keep up anymore with her need for stimulation and turned on the TV for my own sanity.

DD watched Baby Einstein at a young age and Baby Motzart was her favorite. She isn't really into tv much anymore now that she's getting around and doing other things. I personally see nothing wrong with it. I used to put it on repeat play when I had to get ready for work. She didn't stare at it the whole time but it got her attention when she got antsy!

I have been using the Baby Einstein CDs in the crib... I think classical music is key to a baby's development. I was singing throughout my entire pregnancy and when i sing and practice now Cadence always goes to sleep. We love using the movies. We let her watch the dvd now and she loves the music. She smiles all the time... just my opinion

I believe Bella was almost 3 months old when she started. Her favorite was and still is Baby Van Gogh. She loves the bright colors and upbeat music.

We would let Nate watch a DVD once or twice a week when he was 3 months. He's 2 now and really isn't into TV much until recently. Now he asks to watch Jack's Big Music Show. He'd watch it all day if we let him. We usually let him watch one a day, two maybe if it's a rainy day. He starts daycare on Monday again, so he'll probably only watch on the weekends.
We haven't started Jayden on them yet. Don't really know when we will.

Lily was around 3 months old when she got into them. Sometimes they help her nap. In fact, right now she is napping to Baby Bach.
