When did you first
see and hear your babies heartbeat?
I have a dr's appointment on Monday and I think I will be 6w exactly, so I was hoping I could at least see the heartbeat then!

7 weeks. We saw the flicker and heard the HB on the same day.

Saw it at my first sono at 8 weeks, 4 days and then again at 12 weeks...heard it via the doppler at 17 weeks.

Do you know if you're having a sono at your appointment? I essentially had an annual exam at my first appointment and was sent for bloodwork. I didn't have a sono until a week later. Many doctors won't do sonos until at least 8+ weeks.
I saw the heartbeat yesterday. I was measuring about 7 weeks.

Yeah I am pretty sure they are going to do a sono. I already had my initial appointment with the doctor where they took my blood and did an exam.

6 weeks may be a little early to see the heartbeat. There's definitely a chance you could see it though. Good luck!

I didn't hear it until my first sono at 12 weeks. We saw it flicker though at 6 weeks.

Most dr's won't do a sono until after 7 or 8 weeks, bc there is a chance of not seeing or hearing it and its perfectly normal not to at that point

We saw & heard it at 6 weeks on the dot but I had ART done so we know the exact O day......
don't get upset if you don't see or hear it....it might be just too early....

6w2d, the heartbeat was 108, but the technician said it the heart had just formed.

7 weeks 2 days! Still haven't heard it yet. Hopefully on Tuesday when we go to Lenox Hill for the nuchal translucency test!

I second that, some doctors don't even want to see you until you're 7-9 weeks along, forget giving you a sonogram before that. DH and I learned that during my first appointment when I was 7.5 weeks. :P

We had a sono at 5w and saw a sac and yolk and then at 6w2d we saw a heartbeat and heard it through the sono machine
