When did you start giving your infant cereal?
Thanks, everyone! I was asking because my mom and DH mom told us we were eating wet rice cereal at 2 months or so... Just checking to make sure!

We started around 4 months as well. He was ready for it, otherwise I would have waited.

Ped said we could start at 4 months but we waited until 6. Started with fruits and veggies then cereal.

2 schools of thought:
Some peds say 6 months because studies show that kids who start on cereal after 6 months are less likely to be obese (amongst the FF children only, no difference in the BF group).
My ped says 4 months because allergies look to be lower (and incidence of celiac disease) in those who start "early" at 4 months.
We started both kids at 4 months, though DD only started to eat at 5 months. DS knew what he was doing from day 1!

5 months but she really did not start eating it and enjoying it until 7 months.

I was just at my DD 4 month check up. Ped said we could start now but she recommended waiting until 6 months.
