actually have to correct myself.. i didnt do stage 1 meats.. we went straight to the dinner meals with meats. dd gagged on jar meats alone.

Oh, I haven't seen any Stage 1 meats 
We've done all Stage 1 veggies & fruits by Earth's Best (and then some with Gerber since Earth's Best has limited variety).

Stage 2 meats was at 6 months. This boy loooooooves his chicken!!!

It's annoying b/c we started with Earth's Best but honestly they don't have that much variety. He's done all the Stage 1 fruits & veggies and almost thru Stage 2. I did some Gerber Stage 1 just to introduce new foods since Earth's Best literally has 4 Stage 1 choices of each.

I made mistake when i typed that.. i tried the alone meats and dd gaged on them, no clue what stage they were.. we went straight to the Meats mixed with veggies (dinner meals by gerber organic) only ones shell eat.

We do Beech-Nut and there are so many choices for Stage 2 - delicious fruit mixtures and great meats mixed in with vegetables, even mac and cheese! Athan's favorite is Chicken with Applesauce. He can't get enough of it!

We started meats at 6 months and I've also found that we cannot limit ourselves to the Earth's Best brand. Elizabeth would be eating 6 different foods in total if we did because many of their combinations contain something she's allergic to (sweet potatoes and apples).
Now she gets Beechnut and Gerber stage 2 and 3. DH decided one day to try stage 3 all by himself and despite the heart attack I had at first, Elizabeth is doing just fine on them!

We just started meats at 7 months. I tried the stage 1 meats (beechnut makes them), which is just meat and broth and she gagged and then would refuse to eat anything. We switched to the combo stage 2 meats and we can't feed her fast enough.

Jessee- Fairway in Plainview has a huge selection of both Earths Best and Gerber Organics- Def check it out for some variety. I was having the same problem, till I discovered their babyfood aisle!

I started ds on it when he was six months. He loves chicken with rice and turkey with rice. I think beef only comes in stage three.

Our ped said we could do the jarred meats now. But she said it wasnt necessary to do that we could wait until 10 months and start doing little pieces of meat as finger foods then.
We are starting yo baby yogurt next weekend and then he'll get fruit/oatmeal for breakfast, yogurt for lunch and rice/veggie for dinner. I think were going to hold off for a while on the meats.

We usually end up with the Earth's Best Sweet Potatoes and chicken or the Gerber Organic Squash, Corn and Chicken. We started them probably around 7 months (we started Stage 2 at 6 months and did some fruit we hadn't done before trying meats).

Yes! I was just there, excellent variety! I tried meats w/ DH 2 wks ago, when he turned 6 months. He hated them. Tonight I tried Chicken, country veggies & rice from Gerber Organics and he loved it!I have a variety of the stage 2 meats from Earth's Best & Gerber Organic to try.

Two weeks ago at 7 1/2 mths but my DS hated all food until then 
We have tried several chicken varieties and he gobbles it up. Maybe all this time he was just a carnivore!

Her ped gave me the ok at her 6 month appointment. I didn't get the appropriate consistency so that she would eat a 4oz jar of it for a couple of weeks after that though.
Now she has it every night, and I am booting her up to a Stage 3 consistency now.
