When did you start telling people you were pregnant?

DH thinks we should wait until the second trimester.

We waited until 12 weeks. I did tell my mom the day we found out, but everyone else found out at the same time. I couldn't not tell my mom

We are telling our families (both mine and DH's) at a BBQ at our house in August. We will be ~8 weeks. We aren't telling friends or work until we clear the first trimester.

Dh was with me when I found out- so no telling him....

After, we were going to wait awhile to say anything, but we just couldn't...so we told our parents and his brothers on Father's Day. about 5 weeks...

Well, my mom took it upon herself to tell my aunt and uncle- who told my cousins...it was hush hush...they were told they were not supposed to know so they couldn't contact me until after July 14... so just this week all of my family has been calling me...

I told friends little by little...

Best friend first- then another friend about 7 weeks...asked how the "baby making" was going and I told her...

Not everyone knows still...but it is not a secret anymore

I told my parents and siblings 1 week after my BFP and MIL two days after that. We told the rest of the family and cose friends after we saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks.

I asked the same question when I got my BFP and someone gave me great advice (for me). That was if god forbid something bad happened you'd need the support of the people closest to you. That helped me decide to tell select people sooner.

my coworker knew at BFP because she saw me tinkling all the time and was there when I got dizzy that first time. I couldnt hide it from her.


NO ONE ELSE knew until at least 9weeks. then I told my father and his mother.

Everyone else found out at 13-14weeks, friends, extended family (on his side)

My extended family (aunts and cousins still in Texas) didn't find out until 22weeks (when I knew the sex)

My biological mother's side found out at 6months.

I accidentally told my mother at 8 weeks. So we told DH's parents the next day and our siblings then as well.

We "came out" here at 11 weeks and 5 days, but a few people knew before then.

Everyone else figured it out.

I told my parents and brother when I visited them at 5.5 weeks. We told DH's family 1 week later. We told grandparents and some aunts and uncles on Mother's Day. I was 7.5 weeks and had seen the heartbeat a few days before.

We shared the news with everyone else once I was out of the first trimester. It's a personal choice and you need to do whatever makes you comfortable.

I am 5 weeks today and just my parents know. Probably going to wait until I at least hear the heartbeat!!!! It's so hard though!!!

EVeryone knew two weeks after my IVF transfer which is the day we found out.

We told at 11 dpo with this baby. My mom had made me promise to tell her when/if we got pregnant again right away. We lost the 1st baby, then lost my grandmother 1 month after that, so it was a rough couple of months for us all.

So we had gone to dinner at my aunts house, with all my aunts and uncles and cousins. After dinner was done, I said, "Oh mom, I have to tell you something." She said, "What?" I said, "I'm pregnant." She lost it crying, my whole family went crazy bc some didn't hear it, and didn't know why my mom was crying.

It is a personal decision on when to tell, but we had waited till 9 weeks for the 1st baby and lost him later on, so if our family knew about this baby early, we knew we had their support no matter what happened.

We waited to see the heartbeat first, so we told my parents, DH parents & brothers at 6 weeks....few of close friends as well...

Told work at 17 weeks....

we told just about everyone the day and weekend we found out!

Yeah my DH wanted that too, but I couldn't help myself with people close to us. I waited 12 weeks until I told my job and the rest of our family/friends.

We told our Moms right away and my 81 yr old gram. (she forgets everything so it was safe )
We just "officially" told all the other family on his side. Mine knew from about 10 weeks. I am 13w.

mom was told right away. DH's parents were told at about 8 weeks. Everyone else was after the ultrascreen (11.5 weeks)
