When did you tell people that you were pregnant?

We are waiting until I am safely out of my first trimester. I am only 5 weeks pregnant! I feel like this is going to be an eternity! Did anyone else wait this long? We aren't even telling our parents!!!!

I told the parents probably in my 6th week (only after I went to the dr)

i wanted to wait to hear the heartbeat but DH couldnt go thru a weekend with his parents and not tell them

We told at 5 weeks! I couldn't keep it in!

I told my family right away and I was only about 4 weeks. Told friends at 6 weeks and told my job last week at 12 weeks

we told parents/siblings and close friends at 4.5 weeks but im not telling coworkers till next week - 14th week. :)

We told parents/grandparents/siblings the day we got the BFP - so like a little shy of 4 weeks...Told work at 12.5 weeks...told friends at 9.5 weeks

We told our parents right away - I think 5 weeks. Then we told our family prob around 7 weeks, and friends around then also (except DH's friends knew right away bc we were at a party as I wasn't drinking so that blew my cover)

My rationale was that if god forbid anything were to happen we would tell everyone anyway and it made it that much more real to have everyone know. Oh - and I felt like crap and needed the advice of my friends/family who went through this before me.

Everyone tells in their own time though!

We told parents at 6 weeks. Then we told a few friends who knew our situation (took us 16 active cycles to get pg).

I plan on telling work around week 12 or 13 (unless I need to pull the pg card to get people off my back).

And we'll probably tell the rest of our friends now since we heard the heartbeat today.

My Mom and my neighbors(good friends) at 6 weeks..they knew any way..everyone else was 12 weeks

We told our parents the same day that we got the BFP. Then we told friends about a week later. Im not telling anyone at work until I am out of the 1st trimester though, mainly because Im not sure what I want to do about work yet. However, I will not buy anything baby related because I am superstitious about that. My thinking was that anybody who Ive told would have found out if something went wrong anyway.

We are telling our parents this weekend (we are 8 weeks) then our siblings I think around 10 weeks and no one else until 12+. Its very hard we have already known for 3+ weeks and I have been subjected to many conversations with my MIL and SIL about how DH will be a great dad and how my SIL has all these maternity clothes for me and she is putting them in the attic until I am ready, etc. I told my DH I feel like I am ready to burst!

parents and siblings--9 weeks

friends--told the first one at 11 weeks, but waited until the end of the 12th for most. I am 14 weeks now and we still have a few friends to tell. I might wait until after my next Dr. visit to tell more people.

We told our parents and siblings at 8 weeks.

I told my boss (because of Dr. appts and I was falling asleep at my desk) at 10 weeks but no one else at work.

We announced to everbody during my 13th week.

It was fun to have our little secret. We chuckle when we look at photos from this past Christmas because we knew and no one else did.

parents b/t 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 weeks, siblings around 7 weeks and friends, work and rest of family around 10-12 weeks
i was spotting and cramping in the beginning so we weren't in a rush to tell anyone other then the immediate family

we told my parents and my best friends right away --- everyone else family and friend wise we waited til after our 11 week appointment when we saw the baby move around. my work we waited until 12 weeks...

now pretty much everyone knows.... im getting a little buddha belly!

We told our parents after my 1st doctors appt - at 5 1/2 weeks.
We wanted to tell them - cause I was having a little bit of complications and we wanted them to be aware.

Everyone else - we told at during my 10th week - we wanted to wait longer - but ALL of DH's family was going to be in town then - so we decided to tell them then over a slide-show at an anniversary party!!

I told my parents the day after it was confirmed by my OBGYN (5 weeks) and we told DH's parents at approx 8 weeks (after the first ultrasound) I waited to tell everyone else until we reached the 12 week mark (again right after my ultrasound) It was very hard to keep it a secret!!

We told our families the night I got my BFP....which was 5 days before my missed period. We told everyone else not long after that.

I told my parents around 7 weeks....extended family 8 weeks. Friends 7 weeks. My job I told when MS hit around 6.5 weeks.

I can't keep stuff like that in. That's torture for me. I have a big mouth.
