When did you stop using a high chair?
DS ( our first) is almost 29 months... So I'm just curious what others did... Thanks!

My oldest was exactly 2, my middle was 18 months, and my youngest (he'll be 29 months on Tuesday!) just stopped about two weeks ago.

I would of kept him in there forever lol but around 2yo he was screaming like crazy not to be in it. We bought him a little table with 2 chairs. He would sit there & eat or I would feed him.

DD is 27 months and we stoped using the high chair about a month ago. We got her a soft boster seat for her to sit in at the table. She loves it.

We stopped by 12 months with all 3 kids. My DS will be 2 in 4 days and has been sitting at our bar height table since 11-12 months. At that point he was climbing up onto the chair so we quit using the Highchair. We had a strap on travel booster that we used to give him some height but we quit using that by 15 months.

DD will be 2 next month. She's been in a booster seat now for a month. We made the switch when she kicked and fussed getting in the high chair. Now she likes her big girl chair and willingly goes over to it to eat.

We stopped at age 2 mostly bcause I was sick of having 2 high hairs in the kitchen. We use booster seats at the table but they are much messier!!

About 21 months. He's so independent, he wants to sit in a chair, use real plates and real glasses.

About 2yo. I couldn't wait to get it out of the kitchen and he wanted to sit on the booster seat all the time anyway.

DS is 28 months and is still in the high chair. When he's finished eating he says down. LOL
I plan on keeping him in it as long as I can

DD is just turning 2 and I don't see us giving up the highchair anytime soon! She doesn't complain about it at all. . . She actually asks to be put in it when it's time to eat. She also colors in the highchair so I don't have to worry about crayons or markers on my walls/furniture. I figure we'll keep her in it until DS (who is only now 7 weeks) is ready to start eating in it.
If space were an issue I could see wanting to get rid of it sooner though!
