when did you /will you give your dc peanutbutter? i hate the stuff but i think it would be nutritious for my little man (he's 1.)

I made Troy half a PB & J sandwich last week. I cut it into strips and he loved it (then again, he loves everything--sorry). I only put a SMALL amount of peanut butter, in fear of an allergic reaction.

Age 2 as recommended by my doctor. Even at that, I had to ask her if it was OK and she seemed reluctant. As it is, DD doesn't really like it anyhow.

DD will be a year in a few days-gave it to her this week. no problems and she loves it. i know i am not in the "norm" here-most wait a lot longer.

Got the okay at 12 months, just a thin layer on bread, since she has eczema, doc said we could wait til 2-3 years old. Tried it at 18 months, she hated it and broke out with hives on her neck and face, so we're waiting til 3 years old.

somewhere around the same age for DD....and will do it for DS too. He's already had peanut butter flavored cookies.
I've been told that if there is no family allergy to it, then it was ok

DH had food allergies - so we have to be careful with alot of foods
