When did your baby start getting interested in toys, books, etc?

I have all these little toys and stuff that say 0 to 3 or 6 months, but when I dangle anything in front of Sasha she seems so disinterested. She just wants to be held, rocked or put to sleep. She'll be 4 weeks on Tuesday.

I don't really remember, but keep on doing what you're doing (reading, playing, dangling, etc). She may not SHOW she enjoys them, but before you know it, she will!

Re: When did your baby start getting interested in toys, books, etc?

DS really started really showing that he is enjoying his toys just this month (3 months) now that he reaches out to grab things and holds on to them. One thing he enjoyed earlier (1-2 months) on was his mobile in his crib. I just started to read to him now and then but he doesn't show much interest yet which I figured. I think it's good to start playing with them early even though they may not understand too much early on, I've had most of his toys since he was born.

Around 2 months there were certain toys Emerson liked to stare at but I would say it wasn't until almost 4 months where she really was showing interest and wanted to reach out for things and play. Now at just over 5 months she really enjoys a lot of her toys, she grabs everything, transfers it from hand to hand, puts it in her mouth, tries to press buttons. Too cute!! Chat Icon
