when did your DC go from eating every 3 hours to every 4 hours?

Did you just start by making them wait an extra 10-15 minutes every couple of days or did you take your cues from them?

Also, how did you transition? Did you give more formula at each feeding to compensate for the lesser number of feedings?

During the day, DD still tends to go every 3 hours b/w feedings...unless she is taking a long nap - then she may go closer to 4 hours.

Re: when did your DH go from eating every 3 hours to every 4 hours?

I think I started to make the switch after she was 2 months old.. I just went according to my doctor's schedule and I think it was after her 2 month appointment.

I did it by stretching the time in between feedings as long as I could - so 15 minutes to a half hour, if she would let me. It took about a week to get it to work. I think it was about a week or two after we switched to the 4-hour schedule that DD started taking more formula at a time. She went from 4 to 6oz bottles.

If you DD eats every four hours how many feedings do you get in during the day? I only get 7 feedings in right now and thats with a night feeding still.

Emma never ate every 4 hours. I tried, but she always wanted a bottle after 3. I tried to up the ounces, but then she would spit up a lot more.

Now she is down to 4 feedings a day but she's up to 8oz at a time and she's getting solids twice a day also. But from about 2 months until very recently she was getting either 5 or 6 bottles, depending on if she woke up at night or not.

6 months later DS still is on a 3 hour schedule! You can set a clock by him. At 8 weeks he was eating over 6oz per feeding every three hours.
I dont think we will ever be on a 4 hour feeding schedule. But DS does sleep 10 hours at night and has been since he was 8 weeks so I cant complain!

Still does at 8 months. Sometimes if we are busy and out he will go longer. He does go all night without eating though.

DD is 7 weeks old and is eating 4-6 oz every 3 to 4 hours. Sometimes she can go 5, sometimes she goes 2 (a snack of 1-2 oz).

She seems to require more feedings during the day though...

AT 6 months, he still eats about every 3 hours. Sometimes he will go 4 hours, especially in the afternoon, but generally, still at 3.

Never and when he was younger, he sometimes only went 2.5 hours. Now that we are on solids, he eats at certain times of the day more frequnetly than every 3 hours, but I have a big boy and he's a healthy eater!
