when did your DC say their first word?
i'm not worried - yet - because DS babbles all day long and is good with consonants, but he has no words yet. he's 11 months tomorrow. normal or not?
ETA: he does call everything he sees "da" - maybe he means "that"? i don't know, i'm reaching here

Kaydyn said dada at 6 months and meant it for DH. Then a couple of months later everyone became dada (me, DH, ILs, my mom). Around 11 months she started saying Please. Those were the only words she had until about 15 months or so.

early, like 6 months....now he has about 5 or 6 words pretty consistently...we have him on video at around 7 weeks old babbling non stop.... You would never believe it unless you saw it for yourself!! Maybe you should stop by and watch it sometime when you move to the neighborhood!

I *think* he said Dada around 7 months?
Uhoh around 9 months and the little stinker didn't say Mama until he was like 15 months old

I think 9 months he said dada. I think.
Yup jacen used to point to things around the room and say "dat?" It was cute at first and then you end up saying FAN a million times a day.

Shaylie said Mama today and she'll be 7 months on Sunday. I'm trying to get her to say it again, but she still babbling.

DS said mama at 8/9 months. Baba soon followed, and now he says Up when he wants to be picked up (but I also say Up a lot to him and make him raise his arms if he wants to be picked up).

He said dada pretty consistently at around 9 months. He said mama ONCE at like 8/9 months - then not again until around 11/12 months. Now at 13 months - he only has about 5 "words". He says Mama, Dada (for both DH and the dog LOL), Goo (good), Yumm, Uh Oh, Boat
I'm not worried, I know he'll say more when he's ready. I just keep talking/reading/singing to him non-stop.

besdies mama, dada, baba (which he said around 9 months) he said book regularly at 10 months.
